The 2018 SEC Tournament is set.
The Auburn Tigers, winners of the regular-season crown, will be the No. 1 overall seed in next week’s tournament, which takes place in St. Louis, Missouri. They won’t play until Friday afternoon.
The Tennessee Volunteers will be the No. 2 seed and also play Friday evening. Right behind them are the Florida Gators as the No. 3 seed following their convincing win over the Kentucky Wildcats.
Speaking of, the Cats will be the No. 4 seed and begin play on Friday. They were able to clinch the No. 4 seed thanks to the Arkansas Razorbacks losing to the Missouri Tigers. Had Arkansas won, they would have been the No. 4 seed, but the loss dropped them down to the No. 6 seed.
The LSU Tigers (7), Texas A&M Aggies (8, Alabama Crimson Tide (9) and Mississippi State Bulldogs (10) round out the top eight seeds that get single-byes.
Here is how the final SEC standings ended up following Saturday’s results:
1. Auburn (13-5 in SEC)
