Watching the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers give the Kansas State Wildcats the business didn’t make me feel any better about what happened on Thursday night.
Kansas State looked awful. Because they are awful. Bruce Webber’s team had no business playing for a Final Four. And yet that’s sports. The Ramblers will face the Michigan Wolverines Saturday for a trip to the national title game.
I thought I was over it until I saw how Kansas State played.
The Kentucky Wildcats picked one hell of a game to revert back to their old habits.
Ugh...

If I see Grayson Allen hold up the championship trophy I may walk into the Ohio river and let it take me away forever

I rarely post my own tweets but it seems I struck a nerve with this one.

Quickies
Dan Wolken calls loss to K-State a joke | SEC Country- Get mad if you want, but he ain’t wrong. As I stated above, Kansas State sucks.
Ranking Kentucky’s most unexpected NCAA losses | Lexington Herald Leader- Mark Story compiled an all time top ten list. Here is where the Kansas State loss ranks:
4. Kansas State 61, No. 18 Kentucky 58, 2018 South Region semifinals. Kansas State was a No. 9 seed that had gone 0-7 in the regular season against the other three Big 12 squads — Kansas, Texas Tech and West Virginia — to reach the Sweet 16. For Bruce Weber’s crew to best UK, Kentucky had to help out. UK did, missing 14 free throws, committing 15 turnovers and making only 16 of 42 field-goal tries.
Louisville reportedly reaches out to Kenny Payne about coaching job | WDRB- While Chris Mack to Louisville seems like a done deal, it appears Louisville AD Vince Tyra wants to cover all of his bases. Payne, a former Cardinal, has been popping up on coaching lists over the last couple of years.
But before you get too worked up...
Also important to note in this story: Two UK spokesman said no such request was made. https://t.co/DFDptQSHy0

Can’t imagine anyone at Louisville ever lying about anything. I’m shocked.
Eli Brown announces destination | SEC Country- Eli Brown was a big contributor during Jordan Jones’ absences last season but he decided to announce his transfer over the winter. Brown will be heading to Western Kentucky.
Will Kentucky football change social media policy? | Lexington Herald Leader- After leaving the team and having a meltdown on twitter, offensive lineman E.J. Price has returned to practice. While Mark Stoops stopped short of saying he is going to ban social media, he did express the need to educate and monitor more. This isn’t the first incident in the past year of a player blasting the coaches or expressing frustration on social media. Lynn Bowden, Blake Bone, and Nick Haynes all went to social media to air their grievances during the season.
Leonard Hamilton not happy with postgame question | Yahoo!- Down four with 11 seconds left, the Florida State Seminoles elected not to foul the Michigan Wolverines in order to give themselves a chance to go to the Final Four. Dana Jacobson asked head coach Hamilton about his lack of strategy. He bristled, said the “game was over” and refused to answer follow up questions.
The fact that Leonard Freaking Hamilton made it to the Elite Eight just shows you how crazy this tournament has been.
Breaking down the McDonald’s All American Game | Bleacher Report-The jewel of the high school all star games will be played Wednesday night at 7:00 PM. This particular article fails to highlight either UK commit; but don’t worry, I’ll have a thorough break down coming out this week.
Questioning Marvin Bagley at Duke | Oregon Live- Marvin Bagley should be a senior in high school, he never stuck to a single high school for over a year but he was somehow qualified to reclassify, his father has a questionable (putting it lightly) relationship with Nike, yet not a peep was made about how he made it to Duke.
Tom Hardy set to play Al Capone | TVovermind- Tom Hardy is a fabulous actor and I am excited that he will be playing infamous gangster Al Capone in the movie Fonzo. The best Capone performance I can think of Robert De Niro in The Untouchables.
