Kentucky takes on the No. 13-ranked Tennessee Volunteers at 1 p.m. today for the SEC Tournament Championship and an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament.
The Wildcats got swept by Tennessee in the regular season, losing both in Knoxville and in Rupp Arena. But UK is hot as they’ve been all season right now, with back-to-back wins in this SEC Tournament over the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide by an average margin of 18 points.
ESPN has Tennessee favored, giving the Vols a 58.1 percent chance to win. The Vols are currently on a six-game win streak that includes wins over the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Arkansas Razorbacks to get them to this stage in the SEC Tournament.
The Wildcats will obviously be an at-large bid if they lose today, but a win would give UK its 32nd SEC Tournament title, as well as its fourth in a row.
Also, Jarred Vanderbilt is out today while recovering from his injury in hopes of a return in the NCAA Tournament.
