UK executes 15 year lease in Rupp Arena.

Kentucky guaranteed that it will be calling Rupp Arena home for awhile, executing a 15 year lease. The Lexington Center Corporation and UK signed the paperwork yesterday on a “Right of Use Agreement,” keeping the Wildcats in the historic arena for the next decade and a half at least. That agreement offers benefits for each side, according to 247 Sports, including the LCC receiving a base payment of $1.9 million from UK for 28 events, UK receiving revenues from the creation of four clubs and club spaces (which will be built with the new convention center product) and the LCC converting some upper-level seats to chair backs.
