Tonight is a big game for the Kentucky Wildcats, as they look to get back on the winning track following a disappointing showing Saturday in Missouri.
The Tennessee Volunteers come into town, riding high on a five-game winning streak and winning eight of their last nine games. One of those victories was a 76-65 victory over Kentucky in Knoxville early last month.
In that matchup, Kentucky faced some dire foul trouble as Wenyen Gabriel and Hamidou Diallo fouled out and P.J. Washington was on pace to have a strong performance before leaving the game with an injury.
Tonight, the Wildcats will look to pick up a big-time win against a Tennessee team ranked 15th in the country, which would be a great resume booster for a team that doesn’t exactly have a surplus of quality wins this season.
To get ready for tonight’s tip-off, here are a few links.

John Calipari talked about the Vols and his new “adjustment” among other things. You can find those details here.
Is Tennessee a must-win? Depends on how you look at it. Regardless, it’s one of the biggest games of the year.
Don’t expect to see Tai Wynyard on the floor tonight... or probably for a while. The New Zealand big man is still nursing a lingering back issue, but was also suspended for a violation of team rules.
And remember, if you’re at the game or heading there, stand up for (at least) the last eight minutes and cheer these young Wildcats to victory.
Now, hang around and let’s get ready for this matchup with the Vols. It should be a good one, hopefully with Kentucky on top at the end.
