While many were taking the Philadelphia Eagles out of hope that they upset the established top dogs, the spread had the New England Patriots favored in last night’s Super Bowl. But both teams made Vegas look stupid as they shattered the over/under and the Eagles upset the Patriots to turn the NFL on its head (for at least one night).
The game featured lots of points, multiple missed extra points, a Super Bowl record for longest field goal by a rookie, a touchdown catch by Nick freakin’ Foles of all people, a dropped pass by Tom Brady, and well, a whole lot more.
Congratulations to the Eagles. Don’t mess up those Crisco’d light poles too badly.
