Fresh off of Kentucky’s impressive win over Arkansas, John Calipari is back on the recruiting trail.
On Wednesday, Calipari met with a pair of 2019 recruits holding offers from UK, and one of them could be joining the Class of 2018.
According to recruiting reporter Pat Lawless, Calipari came to watch James Wiseman in Tennessee.
Earlier in the day, Calipari met with fellow Class of 2019 recruit D.J. Jeffries in Mississippi, according to Chuck Lawson.
Wiseman is strongly favoring UK right now, though it remains to be seen if he’ll actually reclassify into the 2018 class and join UK next season.
Regardless of what class he sticks to, Wiseman is going to make a major impact wherever he goes, and for now, Lexington is the likeliest destination.
Wiseman is ranked No. 1 overall in the 2019 class by 247 Sports Composite. He’d likely be a top-five recruit if he reclassifies into the 2018 class.
Jeffries is a little more open with his recruitment. He’s got 18 offers, and is being recruited by the likes of UK, Texas A&M, Florida, LSU, Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, Missouri, Mississippi State, Wake Forest, Wichita State and North Carolina among others.
Jeffries is ranked No. 26 overall in the 2019 class by 247 Sports Composite.
