The Kentucky Wildcats have struggled on the road this year, especially in SEC play.
Don’t tell Arkansas that.
The Razorbacks saw a UK team we’ve only seen glimpses of this season, one that looked every bit like the preseason top-10 team this group was pegged to be.
Thanks to 23 points from Kevin Knox and 18 from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Cats went into Fayetteville and came away with an 87-72 win.
While the score makes it appear UK’s defense struggled, that was far from the case in the second half. The Cats held the Hogs without a bucket from 10:18 mark to 2:35 mark of this half.
With the offense still clicking, that led to UK taking command for good, leading by as many as 15. This was easily one of, if not UK’s most complete game of the season, and it came at just the right time.
Kevin Knox is a road warrior. The freshman forward from Tampa continues to have his best outings on the road. his latest work of art was a 23-point outing on 8-of-18 shooting to go with seven rebounds and two steals. Nine of them came within the first eight minutes of the second half as UK really began making its run to take command for good.
Knox is becoming a superstar, who could be in for a special March.
