Kentucky fans vent after a bad loss.

NCAA Basketball: Kentucky at Seton Hall Nicole Sweet-USA TODAY Sports

Losses make for great call-in sports radio and that’s what we got when the Kentucky Wildcats dropped an overtime game 84-83 to the Seton Hall Pirates.

PJ Washington’s double-double and Keldon Johnson late game heroics couldn’t make up for Myles Powell going nuts from beyond the arch and John Calipari’s late game decision making.

Here is what Jason Ence and I discussed:

  • This team is a mess on offense unless the ball goes to the post
  • Cal needs to stop saying this is one of his best shooting teams because it isn’t
  • For the love of God someone should have denied Powell the ball
  • Kentucky still doesn’t have a point guard
  • Tyler Herro struggles when he faces any size or athleticism
  • Quade Green and Nick Richards are letting the team down
  • John Calipari’s weird press conference
  • There is no life in the fan base
  • Cal set this team up for failure with all the preseason praise
  • We take a ton of calls

Ultimately the early struggles are on Calipari and he needs to fix it. More often than not he does. But two out of the last three seasons have been extremely disappointing.
