A great honor that shows just how special Conrad is on and off the field.

Another day, another award for the Kentucky Wildcats. This time, however, it’s an honor for contributions both on and off the field.

On Friday, it was announced that senior tight end C.J. Conrad was named the winner of the 2018 Pop Warner National College Football Award. He received the honor during the 62nd Annual Pop Warner Super Bowl at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports complex.

The Pop Warner National College Football Award recognizes a college graduating senior who has made a difference on the field, in the classroom and in his community, and serves as a role model to Pop Warner’s young student-athletes.

In the classroom, Conrad, a member of the 2017 SEC Academic Honor Roll and Dean’s List, is on track to graduate Dec. 14 with a degree in communications. He was recently named to the 2018 SEC Community Service Team.

Prior to the 2018 season, Conrad created a program called “Tuesdays with C.J.,” where he visits the Kentucky Children’s Hospital each Tuesday to bond with the patients. He serves as captain of UK’s chapter of “Team Impact,” in which he organized and hosted a “Signing Day” news conference for an 11-year-old with cystic fibrosis. You can read more about there here.

On the field, Conrad currently has 29 catches for 297 yards and three touchdowns this season. That includes his game-winning touchdown on the final play of Kentucky’s 15-14 win against the Missouri Tigers.
