The Kentucky Wildcats lost a tough one on the recruiting trail today as former Kentucky commit Wandale Robinson flipped his commitment from the Wildcats to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. After just re-assuring his commitment to Kentucky twice in the past week, the highest ranked player in the state of Kentucky flipped his commitment.
While it does sting for Kentucky and Kentucky fans, people should be respectful of his decision, as he is doing what is best for him.
Let’s see what social media had to say to Wandale’s de-commitment:
Please respect my decision. Recruitment completely shut down. #AllN #GBR pic.twitter.com/bz7begOERU

I wish Wandale Robinson the best...seems like a good kid and I hope he is successful
— Matt Jones (@KySportsRadio) December 5, 2018
There were those around him who were very angry at me about pressing him last week in an interview if he would flip. It turns out that question was clearly valid
Don’t forget to be respectful when speaking about/to a high school senior who is making a decision that he thinks best is for his life.

Kentucky 9
Nebraska 4
Priorities are clear here...
There isn't much I can add to Wandale Robinson commentary except what's already been said: the situation was handled poorly, can't blame him for going to the place he thought was best for him, and UK will be fine.

Nebraska fans have found this video.

What they don't know is UK is actually celebrating not going 4-8. https://t.co/EoHrksFxgv
Lost Harris, got Snell

Added Josh Allen at last minute
Calvin Taylor after Signing Day
Baity late addition after decommitments
Watson 2-star from Maryland
Doesn't help, but in this sport few players make you (and the few often includes those you wouldn't expect). None break you. https://t.co/V8748p9x83
A big thing to remember is Kentucky Basketball has actually been on the right side of this several times with big-time recruits.
Just because Wandale Robinson (a teenager) had a change of heart and went to where he always wanted to go (long story), doesn’t mean he’s “low character”.
— Travis Graf (@Trav_Graf) December 5, 2018
Did Terrence Jones have “low character” when he flipped to UK immediately after publicly picking UW?
Some of you - shut up
#BBN so y’all just gonna act like we didn’t flip Ashton and Tyler from their home state
— coolest kid on the planet (@The_A1_God) December 5, 2018
Oh, and Kentucky may essentially flip a four-star linebacker from Oregon is Jared Casey picked the Cats on Thursday.
Reminder to #bbn that former Oregon Commit Jared Casey is announcing his choice at 5:00 tomorrow.

So, does Kentucky get its money back on Wandale Robinson or how does all that work? @Jimrosehuskers
— Chris Fisher (@ChrisFisher247) December 5, 2018
Jim Rose really looks bad now.
Hate to see Wandale Robinson flip from Kentucky to Nebraska but you're only a college athlete once. Make the best decision for yourself and roll with it, and if your first thought wasn't right, don't be afraid to change. Good luck to Robinson and to Nebraska.

It hurt when Damien Harris left and it hurts that Wandale Robinson is leaving the state, too. That said, Kentucky football is in a much better place to handle it than it was in 2015. It stinks but there will be a name you don't even know right now that will develop into a star.

YES...i was looking forward to watching Wandale Robinson @robinson__era play for UK. I hope UK fans, although disappointed will wish him good luck and not be mean. It's his life. Remember Damien Harris left and UK was big time with Benny. And I wished Harris good luck.

If Wandale only committed to Kentucky to win the Mr. Football award (cause apparently that holds so much leverage) can someone explain to me why Nacarius Fant (WKU commit) won the award over Drew Barker in 2013?
— Dal (@ImNotDal) December 5, 2018
Really strange for Wandale Robinson to have been talking about recruiting for Kentucky and planning to sign this month with Kentucky ... YESTERDAY ... then flip to Nebraska today.
— Kyle Tucker (@KyleTucker_ATH) December 5, 2018
Also, I'm curious what Nebraska fans (and some media there) who were certain Wandale got paid to pick Kentucky believe has happened now to make him change his mind. (I'm not accusing him of that, by the way, just pointing out the silliness.) https://t.co/FEg8QJzsSR

It’s going to take at least one high school class before local stars don’t equate “UK football” to “go elsewhere”...9-3 will help but need to keep adding

I like I always said “ this is your life and you have to live it for you. If they can’t respect that so what. This is about you. My loyalty is to you @robinson__era and no one else. #ALLIN #GBR https://t.co/hq8b06SfNg
