Wandale Robinson is now a top 100 recruit

Robinson is poised to be one of Kentucky’s highest-ranked recruits under Mark Stoops.

UPDATE

He gone.

Kentucky Wildcats commit Wandale Robinson was named Kentucky’s Mr. Football earlier this week. He had an outstanding senior season, leading the state in scoring with 284 points.

He obviously put the entire state of Kentucky on notice this season, but he is also making a splash nationally. Previously unranked in the Rivals 250, Robinson made his debut this week at No. 98. That is quite a jump.

He moved up to No. 117 in the 247 Sports composite ranking less than a month ago, and now appears as the No. 20 overall athlete (ATH) according to Rivals.

Robinson rushed for 1,973 yards in his senior campaign and scored 30 touchdowns on the ground. He also caught 31 passes for 725 yards and 11 touchdowns.

While there was some anxiety surrounding his commitment when the Louisville Cardinals were looking to hire Jeff Brohm, Robinson will be rocking Kentucky blue next season. He chose Kentucky while holding offers from Alabama, Michigan, Nebraska, and Ohio State.

Many believe that Robinson will be ready to contribute immediately upon arriving on campus. An offense led by veterans Terry Wilson, Lynn Bowden, and AJ Rose while sprinkling in some freshman Wandale Robinson seems like a recipe for success.

The highest-ranked recruit that Mark Stoops has signed at Kentucky was No. 29 Landon Young, but Robinson will be the only the second Rivals 100 player that has signed with Kentucky during Stoops’ tenure.

And just in case you have forgotten, his commitment video was pretty dope.
