Saturday was quite the scene in the KFC YUM! Center.
Most expected Kentucky and Louisville to be in a battle for 40 minutes that would likely come down to the wire. Instead, it was domination by the Wildcats, who led by as many as 16 before coming away with a 71-58 victory.
It was the second-straight week in which Kentucky looked like a vastly different team than what we saw over the first 10 games, as they now look like they’re getting back to what we saw in the Bahamas.
Saturday was also a special moment for Brad Calipari, who is redshirting this year but has been very involved in the UK - UofL rivalry. He’s been part of it ever since Calipari came to Kentucky in 2009 and has gone on to record a 10-2 mark vs. the Cards since then.
But beating Louisville never gets old, and Brad was as fired up as anyone in the YUM! Center as he cheered on his teammates, which may have included an expletive that Ellen Calipari won’t like:
I may like this more than most. At its core ~ it’s being a good teammate. It’s not being afraid to show you care deeply. Road games are hard. Bench-game always matters. I love it. pic.twitter.com/utHHPZ70Ie
