The Kentucky Wildcats handled the Louisville Cardinals pretty easily on Saturday, and Tyler Herro was the star of the show with a career-high 24 points.
But there was another member of the Wildcats that really got under the skin of Louisville players and fans.
Ashton Hagans actually put L’s down on his shoes before the game, and was forced to change by officials. That did not stop him, however, as he fully embraced the rivalry and took his hate straight to the Cardinals.

In addition to terrorizing Louisville defensively, he also engaged in a heated exchange with Darius Perry late in the game. That did not sit well with Coach John Calipari, as the game was essentially over at that point.

In watching the video, you can clearly see Calipari saying, “It doesn’t matter! We are going to win.”
Hagans went on to do his best trolling as the clock expired, throwing his L’s down after a steal as he dribbled out the clock.

He continued the loving gesture as he exited the arena, which was met with cheers from the Louisville crowd, I’m sure.
Ashton Hagans hits the tunnels throwing double Ls down and grinning wide. He left them out for a long time, to the delight of UK fans hanging over the tunnel.

Hagans is quickly becoming a fan favorite, as his defensive intensity has propelled Kentucky to two consecutive impressive victories. His energy on the court seems to have completely changed the way this team approaches the game, and Big Blue Nation is very pleased with the new direction.
If Hagans continues to disrupt opposing offenses and becomes a villain in the process, not only will this team be more prepared for tournament play, but they will also be must-see TV week in and week out.
Even if you make Hagans change his sneakers, you cannot make him change his attitude. #NoMercy
Fitting that Ashton Hagans has “no mercy” written on his shoes. That attitude has changed this team the last few weeks.
