Last night was a fun ESPN Louisville 680 postgame show, as we got to celebrate the big 80-72 win over North Carolina!
With James Streble on the road for the holidays, I had to hold down the fort for the night. Thankfully, we had plenty to talk about thanks to Kentucky going out and outperforming the ninth-ranked Tar Heels and re-energizing the entire Big Blue Nation.
I was joined on the phone by Jason Anderson, host of The Zone (weekdays 3-6pm EST on ESPN 680), as well as ASOB’s own Drew Brown, who was at the game in Chicago. We also took calls from the fans and discussed the following:
- Ashton Hagans’ being wanted for stealing
- Reid Travis dominating inside
- Out-rebounding the best rebounding team in the nation
- Nick Richards providing big minutes
- The offense gaining some identity
- The defense showing major strides from the start of the season
- The comments from Calipari and the players
- Next weekend’s game against Louisville
Check out the podcast of the show below.
Also, be sure to tune into ESPN 680 next weekend. James and I will be part of the pre AND postgame coverage for the big rivalry game against the Louisville Cardinals, as Kentucky will be looking for its first true road win while getting win No. 1 against Louisville in the Chris Mack era, and we will be taking your calls again after the game!
