While Big Blue Nation was celebrating a hard-fought victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday, a short tweet from commit Dontaie Allen put the party briefly on hold.
s/o to @BlakeBprice for coming to check on me at the hospital

When Allen tweeted that he was at the hospital shortly after his team was playing in the championship game of a local tournament, some feared for the worst. Allen left Saturday’s game in the second quarter and did not return, as he finished with just 10 points in Pendleton Conty’s 61-24 loss to Cooper in the Phillip Wood Classic.
Rest easy, as it looks like the x-rays were negative and the in-state star will be just fine.
I just spoke with Pendleton County Head Coach, @KeatonBelcher. @dontaieallen11 had an awkward fall tonight. X-rays were negative for MCL tear. He is in some pain, but is expected to be back on the 27th for the Ashland Invitational. @KentuckyRivals @RowlandRIVALS

To everyone asking, I‘m okay. There are no serious injuries, thank you all & thank God

The Pendleton County star scored a career-high 57 points on Friday, and he has put up at least 50 points in half of 12 games leading up to his game on Saturday at his high school. He continues to look ready to make his mark as a member of the Kentucky Wildcats, and as he keeps getting buckets the expectations continue to rise.
Allen is expected to be day-to-day, and his team is off until Thursday when they will play in a tournament in Ashland, KY.
