Wandale Robinson is the best in the Bluegrass, and today, he was awarded for his special season.
On Sunday, the Kentucky Football Coaches Association honored the Western Hills star with its first Mr. Football Award. The award was announced during halftime of Sunday’s KHSAA Class 5A state championship game at Kroger Field.
Remember, this is actually one of two Mr. Football awards going out this year in Kentucky. The state’s original Mr. Football award actually comes from the Associated Press, who will name their Mr. Football later this month.
In his senior season, Robinson, ran for 1,973 yards and 30 touchdowns while catching 11 more scoring passes. He also completed 8/10 passes for 173 yards and two scores.
Robinson committed to Kentucky in November while holding offers from Alabama, Michigan and Ohio State among many others.
