UPDATE 17
UPDATE 16
Wouldn’t ya know it, Quadre Mosely wound up picking Kentucky over Oregon. This is big get for a secondary that’s losing it’s top five players to graduation.
UPDATE 15
Here is a recap of everything Mark Stoops had to say about Kentucky’s early signing period.
UPDATE 15
UPDATE 14
As Mark Stoops gets set to hold his signing day presser at noon, UK has signed 20 of its 22 commitments. Elijah James and JaVonte Richardson are still expected to sign later today. In addition, three-star JUCO defensive back Quandre Mosely is someone UK is still in the running for, but a flood of crystal ball picks for Oregon are coming in.
UPDATE 13
Three-star offensive lineman Zach Williamson has signed with Louisville and is expected to enroll early. Williamson visited Lexington recently as UK was interested in flipping him, but he’ll now face the Wildcats in his college career.
UPDATE 12
In an appearance on KSR, Vince Marrow hinted at more good news coming soon.
“Just tell the BBN to stay tuned. We’ve got some very interesting things happening very soon.”
UPDATE 11
Three-star linebacker Shawnkel Knight-Goff has signed with Kentucky. That means only two commitments remain unsigned in Elijah James and JaVonte Richardson. As for Knight-Goff, he’s part of what Vince Marrow called “probably the best linebacker corp we’ve signed since we’ve been here.”
UPDATE 10
Four-star running back Travis Tisdale, three-star cornerback Jalen Geiger and three-star JUCO cornerback Brandin Echols have signed with Kentucky. Echols is someone to watch for in 2019 with the secondary losing so many players to graduation.
On Tisdale, UK recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow compared him to former Wildcat Boom Williams.
“He reminds me a lot of Boom Williams, he’s going to be electric. I know Eddie Gran is extremely excited about him.”
UPDATE 9
Four-star linebacker Jared Casey, four-star safety Moses Douglass and four-star defensive end JJ Weaver have signed with Kentucky. That means the Wildcats have signed their top three recruits in this class.
UPDATE 8
UPDATE 7
UPDATE 6
Three-star linebacker Tra Wilkins, three-star linebacker KD McDaniel and three-star JUCO linebacker Marquez Bembry have signed with Kentucky. Bembry is expected to compete for significant playing time as Kentucky loses Jordan Jones and Josh Allen at linebacker.
UPDATE 5
Three-star quarterback Amani Gilmore has signed with Kentucky. He’s also teammates with four-star athlete Davontae Lee, who visited Kentucky recently but won’t sign with a school until February.
UPDATE 4
Three-star offensive guard Eli Cox and three-star wide receiver Damontae Crumes have signed. Crumes is one of the top players from the Bluegrass and a former Louisville commitment.
UPDATE 3
Three-star offensive tackle Jake Pope and three-star defensive tackle Isaiah Gibson have signed their LOIs. Gibson was someone Kentucky worked really hard to land over schools like Wisconsin, Purdue, Florida, Georgia, Michigan State and West Virginia.
UPDATE 2
Three-star JUCO cornerback Kelvin Clemmons has committed to Minnesota, Kentucky was the perceived favorite going into his decision.
UPDATE 1
Kentucky has received national letters of intent from three-star tight end Nik Ognenovic, three-star quarterback Nik Scalzo, three-star wide receiver Demarcus Harris and three-star linebacker KD McDaniel.
National Signing Day is today, and things seem to be looking good for the Kentucky Wildcats.
They hope to wrap up most of their class today, as has become the norm for programs around the country with the introduction of the early signing period in December.
Kentucky has the 32nd ranked class in the nation, according to 247 Sports, ranking 12th in the conference. Nationally, according to 247, this class ranks four spots higher than last year but one spot lower in the SEC.
As of now, it doesn’t appear that Kentucky is in for any Signing Day surprises, but stay tuned in this live blog as we bring you the news of the day as it comes in.
