Two Wildcats have left UK’s roster.
On Tuesday, the school confirmed offensive lineman Sebastien Dolcine and linebacker Ashtan Pierre were no longer on the team.
Dolcine, a redshirt freshman offensive lineman, appeared in just one game this season. Hailing from Miramar High School (FL), Dolcine was rated as a three-star prospect in the Class of 2017 who had scholarship offers from UCF, Wake Forest, Florida Atlantic FIU and Temple among others. UK actually got Dolcine to flip from UCF late in his recruitment. He was the 555th-ranked player in 2017 by 247 Sports.
Pierre, a true freshman linebacker, was redshirting this season after grade issues nearly led to him not qualifying to enroll at UK. Hailing from Deerfield Beach (FL), Pierre was a three-star Class of 2018 athlete who picked UK while holding offers from LSU, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Iowa, Miami, Michigan State, North Carolina and Ole Miss among others. He was the 1,527th-ranked player in 2018 by 247 Sports.
December usually produces several transfers for college programs. The good news is UK has plenty of depth at both positions for the foreseeable future.
