The Kentucky Wildcats are now 8-2 this season after beating the Utah Utes.
Kentucky got off to a rough start and found themselves trailing 10-2 almost as soon as the game began. However, the Wildcats would go on a 46-19 run to take complete control in the second half before holding on for an 88-61 win.
Keldon Johnson was the star of the first half, as he hit five-straight three-point attempts to begin the game. That was a very welcome sight after Kentucky lost its top three-point shooter, Quade Green, to transfer earlier this week. Johnson ended up shooting 6/7 from deep and had a game-high 24 points.
All in all, this was a good performance for the Wildcats, but the competition steps up greatly with North Carolina and Louisville on deck in the next two weeks. This was also the final home game in Rupp Arena until Jan. 8 against Texas A&M.
