With the December national signing day a few days away, many recruits around the nation will be making their final decision as to where they will play their college football.
The early signing period has been a whirlwind for Kentucky. They’ve seen a pair of four-star defenders commit in the last few weeks, but after Kentucky’s own Wandale Robinson decommitted and chose Nebraska, nothing feels safe until pen is put to paper.
Heading into the weekend, however, there seem to be some positive signs for the Cats.
Three-star quarterback and Kentucky commit Nik Scalzo predicted a big weekend for Kentucky after a visit with head coach Mark Stoops and offensive coordinator Eddie Gran.
Great home visit on Tuesday! OV this weekend! Look out for a couple key commits this weekend ⚪️ ⚪️ #BBN pic.twitter.com/kmy4EnbC67

Scalzo is from Fort Lauderdale Florida a city that Stoops and company have hit hard the last few seasons. Thus, Scalzo may be referring to some sunshine state prospects.
As for three-star, Kentucky commit defensive tackle Cavon Butler many have speculated that he will flip his commitment from the Cats to Ohio State.
247 Sports gives the Buckeyes a 62% chance to steal Butler.
However, Butler told Letterman Row he plans on signing in December rather than waiting until the spring signing period, and Ohio State may not have a spot for him.
This may just give Kentucky an edge, as Butler wants to put pen to paper, and Kentucky is the team he is committed to doing so with.
Stay tuned for updates in what will be a critical weekend for the future of Kentucky Football.
