It hasn’t been long since it was revealed Quade Green was leaving Kentucky, but we already have a potential landing spot.
According to KSR’s Matt Jones, the Washington Huskies are a potential destination for Green.

But he is a good kid who I think can be a very good college player. I hope he crushes it wherever he goes (my money is on Washington)
The connection there is Mike Hopkins, who was an assistant with the Syracuse Orange when they were heavily recruiting Green. In fact, the Orange were strong favorites for Green during his recruitment until John Calipari made a strong late push to land the five-star Class of 2018 guard.
Since then, Hopkins has become the head coach at Washington, so that previous connection could lead to Green heading to the West Coast.
What’s even more interesting about this possible transfer is that Kentucky is battling Washington for Class of 2019 recruit Jaden McDaniels. The five-star forward and top-10 prospect is strongly considering those two schools along with the San Diego State Aztecs, Texas Longhorns and UCLA Bruins.
However, it’s been Kentucky and Washington getting the most buzz recently, so Green leaving Lexington to join the Huskies could be an interesting dynamic in this recruitment. Kentucky really needs to win this recruitment, but you have to think Washington would get a boost if they have Green in their corner to help out.
Regardless, you just have to hope Green finds the best school for him, whether that’s Washington, Syracuse or even La Salle. He may not be a starting point guard-caliber player for a title contender, but he’s got a lot to offer whatever his next team may be.
