December is here, and with it came the first real test for the Kentucky Wildcats since Duke.
So yeah, this was going to be a big test for a Kentucky team still very much finding itself, and that was clear in the first half. The Spartans got off to a fast start in what turned into a back and forth affair before they took a 40-37 lead over the Wildcats at the break.
The second half was more of the same, as both teams traded blows but struggled to find any separation. That is, until Kentucky got hot and had as good of a finish to a game as they’ve had all season, winning 78-61.
Reid Travis led the way with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Tyler Herro chipped in 18 points, and Keldon Johnson finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds
