The Kentucky Wildcats will look for win No. 8 when they face the Tennessee Volunteers in Week 11.
Despite losing to Georgia and missing out on the SEC Championship, Kentucky still has a lot to play for. The 7-2 Wildcats can still make a New Year’s Six bowl if they win out, but doing so won’t be easy. That’s because Kentucky has a tough road matchup with the Volunteers this week, who also still have a lot to play for under first-year head coach Jeremy Pruitt.
While the Vols may be 4-5, they do have a dominant road win over a top-25 Auburn club this season. They may need another to make the postseason, as Tennessee will need to win two of its final three games to become bowl eligible.
Needless to say, there’s a lot on the line Saturday at Neyland Stadium, where Kentucky hasn’t won since 1984.
