Though Tuesday night was historically awful for the current Kentucky Wildcats, former players currently in the NBA were grinding away. Though there were just four games slated, three of the four featured former Kentucky Wildcats (five players in total).
In Charlotte, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was held scoreless during his 17 minutes but NBA sophomore Malik monk continued his solid start to the season by scoring 13 points and dishing out six assists in 21 minutes. The Hornets would prevail over the Atlanta Hawks, 113-102, to move to 6-5 on the season.
For the Hawks, Alex Poythress scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds in 17 minutes.
Down in Texas, the Washington Wizards dropped to 2-8 on the season following a 119-100 defeat by the Dallas Mavericks. John Wall scored 24 points while assisting on 10 baskets in the loss.
Over in Phoenix, the Suns were routed by the Brooklyn Nets to lose 104-82. Devin Booker “struggled” by shooting 6-21 from the floor but still managed to score 20 points and grab eight rebounds.
On Wednesday night, catch former Wildcats of the Atlanta Hawks, Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder and Orlando Magic in action.
