Good morning Big Blue Nation!

It’s an as exciting of a morning that I can ever remember for the Kentucky Wildcats football team as they get ready to take on the Georgia Bulldogs for the SEC East crown.

Lexington has been the hub of the SEC this week, somehow overpassing the mega rivalry game of Alabama vs. LSU. The drama here is unique as UK is a newcomer taking on one of the old guards for division supremacy.

SEC Nation will be there this morning from 10-12 to broadcast their show and make their picks. No doubt that Georgia will get most of the love but if there is one thing that we’ve learned about this Kentucky football team is that they are never out of a game and they will never quit.

Tweets of the Day

IUP was a little tougher that what many fans (and the UK team) expected. The Crimson Hawks kept the game tight for most of the game and there were a couple of dustups.

Oh Snell Yeah!

Quickies

Showdown with Georgia a six year culmination | Cats Pause- Mark Stoops has worked hard to get to this point. He made a lot of promises when he accepted the job at UK and so far he has lived up to most of them. This game is one more step in the process.

Kentucky has a chance to join this group of surprising division winners | Saturdays Down South- There have been some surprises over the years in the SEC, Missouri in 2013 being one of them, and Kentucky could be the latest.

Winner takes all | UK Athletics- The stakes have never been higher for Kentucky football and luckily they get to play one of the biggest games in the history of the program in front of a home crowd.

Video of Coach Cal’s postgame comments | Cats Illustrated- John Calipari continued to tinker with the line-up and see which guys are ready for primetime. He was feeling good about his team but these two exhibition games have showed him that they still may have a way to go.

Reid Travis leads Kentucky in win over IUP | Cats Pause- The transfer from Stanford had a double-double and was one of the few guys that looked comfortable in his role from the tip. I think Travis will lead the team in minutes this season and I also think Nick Richards needs to be right there with him.

Idiot’s guide to Kentucky’s breakthrough season | ESPN- A fun look at an improbable run as the nation gets to know the Cats as contenders in the SEC East.

Kentucky and Georgia lead off best bets | CBS- The experts are split as to whether or not the Cats will cover and two of the six actually picked Kentucky to win straight up.

Week 10 bold predictions | Saturdays Down South- The folks over at SDS are predicting that Benny Snell breaks out of his one game funk as he leads Kentucky to the promised land in Atlanta.

Week 10 primer | Sporting News- This is easily the biggest weekend of college football action this season. No mention of Kentucky vs. Georgia. Which is odd.

Congrats to the UK Men’s soccer team as last night they won the CUSA soccer conference title.

After SEC Now tune into ESPN 680 for a three hour pregame show hosted by yours truly. We will have Mark Stoops sound, some special guests, and your phone calls from 12-3.

And as usual I will be on immediately following the big game with your first chance to call in and react to the finish and to hear Mark Stoops’ postgame comments.

Here’s how to listen:
