It’s a Monday after a holiday weekend and if you’re anything like me you’re dragging right now. But there will be no rest for Mark Stoops as he and his coaching staff are ready to take advantage of a 9-3 season following a Grade A beatdown of the Louisville Cardinals.
As the December signing period approaches, the Kentucky Wildcats are looking to put the finishing touches on what should be a very good recruiting class.
Right now Stoops has 20 hard commits for the 2019 class with Wandale Robinson as the highest ranked out of that group.
There is a great deal of momentum working in favor of Stoops and now the time to strike while the iron is hot. He has a lot to sell to these kids, including a big time bowl and a plethora of players that will be drafted into the NFL.
Tweets of the Day
Memphis falls to 3-3 after falling to Charleston in Orlando. Next four games for the Tigers: Texas Tech (neutral), South Dakota State, UAB, Tennessee.

Yesterday was not the day for DJ Jeffries to talk smack. Hope he enjoys playing for a dude that can’t coach.
Can confirm that UK coaches Mark Stoops, Vince Marrow, Michael Smith and Eddie Gran are visiting with Wandale Robinson right now.

I spoke with Robinson earlier today and he said "...next year we'll be an exciting offense to watch."
There were some unsubstantiated rumors of Robinson flipping to UofL if the Dirty Birds land Jeff Brohm. Good to see Stoops and co. shoring up the guys they already have.

As a long suffering Cleveland Browns fan, I really enjoyed watching Baker Mayfield dismantle the Bengals.
Quickies
CJ Conrad and Derrick Baity accept bowl invitation | Cats Pause- Both players have accepted invitations to play in the East-West Shrine Game. I have a feeling our seniors will be accepting more awards in the coming weeks.
Mark Stoops is Kentucky’s best coach since the Bear | Cats Illustrated- This is hard to argue considering his recent record in the SEC and the caliber of bowl games the Cats have been going to. We all had questions about the mega contract he was given by Mitch Barnhart but that seems to be paying off. For him and the BBN.
10 things I’ll remember about the 2018 season | Saturday’s Down South- It’s been a dream season for Kentucky football and there will be a lot to remember. The number one spot is, of course, ending the streak in the Swamp in such dominant fashion.
Benny Snell plans on playing in UK’s upcoming bowl game | Larry Brown Sports- It appears as if Benny’s career at Kentucky is winding down and he may have a decision to make in regards to playing in a bowl game. The Kentucky all time rushing record is still there to be broken so I expect him to play.
Matthew Hurt set to visit UK | Cats Pause- As John Calipari is running out of 2019 big man options, Matthew Hurt emerges as a must get for Calipari. The five star big will visit Kentucky this weekend as his first official. Cal needs to pull out all the stops as Kansas appears to be the favorite.
WKU fires Mike Sanford | WDRB- The Mike Sanford era at WKU as over as Jeff Brohm’s successor fails to live up to the standards that Hilltopper football now has.
Mike Leach back to Texas Tech? | CBS- Kliff Kingsbury was relieved of his coaching duties at Tech after mediocrity reigned. Mike Leach was fired by Texas Tech after a controversial ordeal with the son of Craig James.
What if Louisville doesn’t hire Jeff Brohm? | Inside the Ville- It’s not a foregone conclusion that Brohm will be at Louisville in the coming days. Apparently the two sides are at a crossroads in regards to money and Brohm’s stock is only going up at Purdue if he can continue to succeed. So who do the Cards go to after Brohm? Coach Barry Odom sounds good to me!
