For the first time in over 40 years, the Kentucky Wildcats won nine games.
Six of those wins came against bowl bound teams thus, the Cats are in great position to play a quality bowl game.
Despite beating Florida it seems Kentucky will miss out on the new year six simply due to their name.
However, a 9-3 season should put Kentucky into a New Year’s Day game and their most significant bowl game in decades.
It seems the Cats will be heading for the sunshine state. Here’s a look at exactly where they are projected to play.

Personal Prediction: Citrus Bowl vs. Penn State
The Citrus Bowl is the next best thing behind the New Year’s Six for Kentucky. Depending on what happens in the conference title games, it could be Northwestern or Penn State that Kentucky would face.
Either way lining up with a program like Penn State is a big step for this Kentucky program. Being able to defeat a team like that to score a 10th win would be the perfect way to cap off one of the greatest seasons ever in Kentucky Football history.
The loss to Tennessee seems to have knocked them out of that but, this bowl game is still a huge accomplishment for the first nine win team at Kentucky in over four decades.
