56-10. The complete dominance that the Kentucky Wildcats showed over the Louisville Cardinals was the perfect way to cap off a 9-3 regular season.
At no point in the game did I ever think that the train wreck on the UofL side was going to hang with Kentucky. They were as undisciplined team as I can remember. They had no respect for the game, their coaches, or each other. That’s the legacy that Bobby Petrino left at Louisville.
As for the Cats: wow. Finally, after struggling through the latter half of the season, Eddie Gran opened up the playbook and we saw some trickeration and Terry Wilson was finally unleashed.
I’m not sure if that was a product of how little respect Gran has for the Cards’ defense or maybe he was finally tired of hearing the complaints. Either way, the offense finally was fun to watch.

It’s going to be a lot of fun saying the name “Kavosiey Smoke” in the future. Kentucky will once again have a stable of running backs. AJ Rose is going to be a breakout star next year.

Real tears, folks.
So Micky Crum is totally unhinged, huh? Kentucky embarrassed itself with stuff like that in last year’s game. Now, the Cards’ turn in the shameful antics department.

Fortunately Jordan Jones had a chance to completely redeem himself and he did just that. An amazing bounceback season for that young man.
“You know that high school team that knows they can’t beat you, so they just try to fight you? That’s who we just played” -Kash Daniels on the post-game show... mic drop.

Quickies
Kentucky dominates Louisville | WDRB- The Cats did exactly what they were supposed to do. They more than covered the 17 point spread and took care of one of the worst teams in regards to defense in the history of the Power 5.
12 thoughts on a 9-3 season | Cats Illustrated- The best season in 41 years is about to get better as the Cats will most assuredly get a very good bowl. Maybe not a New Years 6 Bowl, but one of the best in the history of the program.
Terry Wilson shows off explosiveness in win | Cats Pause- Wilson accounted for over 300 total yards of offense and three touchdowns. I think that, with an entire season and off season under his belt, we are going to see more of this from Wilson next season. He just scratched the surface.
Kentucky Soccer heads to Elite Eight | UK Athletics- Congrats to the boys on the pitch as they defeated Lipscomb at the Bell and will face Maryland for the right to get to the Final Four. That game will be on Friday and the time is TBA.
SEC Power Rankings | Saturdays Down South- I still don’t get ranking Florida ahead of Kentucky in any actual poll but at least the folks over at SDS are finally giving Kentucky their due. Minus the snark.
Kentucky beats UNC to win Paradise Jam | Cats Pause- How about the start the Kentucky Hoops team is off to? They were underdogs all three games they played in the Paradise Jam and they won all three games. Matthew Mitchell’s team is 7-0 and looking for more after a rough two seasons.
Volleyball caps off undefeated SEC season | UK Athletics- The Cats are undisputed SEC regular season champs as they swept through the conference.
Takeaways from each top 25 team | ESPN-
The Wildcats’ ninth win marked their most in the regular season since 1977, which also marked the team’s last 10-win campaign. Kentucky is headed to a quality bowl game and should have an excellent chance to record its first postseason ranking since 1984, when it finished 19th in the final AP poll.
That’s pretty sweet.
Top 25 projections | CBS- It seems the Cardinal defense is just what the doctor ordered for the Wildcat offense.
16. Kentucky (17): We haven’t gotten to see the Wildcats offense really open up many times this season, but Louisville is just the opponent that might contribute to such results here in late 2018. Kentucky exorcised some rivalry demons as it hung 50 on the scoreboard in Cardinals Stadium.
College football power rankings | ESPN- Cats getting some more love from the World Wide Leader.
