It’s not often that we have seen Kentucky demoralize an opponent in football, but that’s what happened tonight against rival Louisville tonight. The Wildcats got off to a 14-0 lead and never looked back, not even after the Cardinals responded with a touchdown of their own, cutting the lead 14-7.
Terry Wilson was phenomenal tonight, throwing for 261 yards and 3 touchdowns, his season high for touchdowns in a game. Benny Snell added 100 more yards and two touchdowns on the ground, despite not playing the majority of the second half after he appeared to tweak an ankle early in the third quarter. Snell needs just 107 yards for the all-time rushing record at Kentucky.
Here’s the (joyous) social media reactions to Kentucky’s Governor’s Cup victory:

Kentucky coach Mark Stoops adds another $250,000 bonus as Wildcats rout Louisville for their 9th win of the season. Wins 8 and 9 have been worth $250K apiece. He's up to $750,000 in bonuses for the season, with a chance to make it $1 million with a bowl win.

Kentucky (9-3) blasts rival Louisville (2–10) to secure its first nine-win season since 1984. Now gets a great bowl game (likely Citrus) to go for first 10-win season since 1977. Stoops has gone 2 wins to 5 wins (twice) to 7 wins (twice) to 9 wins.

Somehow, @benny_snell quietly hit the 100-yard mark for the 18th time in his career. That ties him with Sonny Collins for the most in school history.
