It looked that Diallo might have suffered a significant ankle injury, but luckily, tests showed that the injury was not severe.
Diallo was diagnosed with an ankle sprain is only expected to miss a few weeks of action.
Diallo came to the University of Kentucky in January of 2017. He redshirted the second half of the 2016-17 season.
Despite being eligible for the NBA draft, Diallo came back to Kentucky to play for the Cats as a redshirt freshman for the 2017-18 season.
Diallo averaged 10 points per game and 3.6 rebounds as a Wildcat, which helped get him drafted in the second round of the 2018 NBA draft.
With the Thunder, Diallo has played 14.6 minutes per game averaging 6.3 points and 2.8 rebounds.
Despite the scare, it seems he will soon return to the court to help the Thunder’s push for a Western Conference playoff birth.
