The Kentucky Wildcats are now 4-1 after beating the Winthrop Eagles, 87-74.
Kentucky looked mighty impressive at times on the offensive end, thanks in large part to another big game from PJ Washington. The sophomore forward finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Freshman guard Tyler Herro chipped in 15 points and a career-high seven assists. As a team, Kentucky finished with 20 assists, and it was clear their passing is improving right from the start of this one.
However, Kentucky once again struggled to defend the three-point shot, at the Eagles connected on 13/28 shots from behind the arc. That has to improve in a big way if this Kentucky team is going to come close to reaching its potential.
The Wildcats are now off for Thanksgiving and will be back in action Friday against Tennessee State.
