The Kentucky Wildcats have scored eight regular-season wins for the first time in over three decades.
Let that sink in for a minute.
Not since 1984 have we seen a Kentucky team with eights in in November, but that’s exactly what we have after the Wildcats’ 34-23 win over Middle Tennessee.
This is the just the fourth time in the last 57 years that Kentucky has won at least eight regular-season games, the others being 1976 (eight regular-season wins), 1977 (10) and 1984 (eight).
A little more under the radar was the fact that Kentucky went 6-1 at home this season, tying the school record for most home wins since Commonwealth Stadium/Kroger Field opened in 1973. The Wildcats also won six home games in 1976 (6-1) and 2006 (6-1).
Needless to say, a special season was just made even more special.
