Saying goodbye to program changing seniors.

Good morning, Big Blue Nation! The Kentucky Wildcats are gearing up for one more game at Kroger Field for the 2018 season. This senior class has a chance to win nine games in the regular season and add a tenth by winning a bowl game.

Josh Allen, Jordan Jones, CJ Conrad, Mike Edwards, and Derrick Beatty are some of the seniors that will be honored today.

Hopefully they can go out on a winning note after losing two in a row. Middle Tennessee State comes in as a mid-major team that owns a 7-3 record and is no pushover.

I know the players will be ready to go but will the coaches, Eddie Gran in particular, have a gameplan to help the players succeed.

Tweets of the Day

I really hope that the fans turn out to honor these guys today. It means so much to them. Josh Allen in particular.

Over the past four years this team has really grown together. Compare that to the rumors of split lockerroom when Shannon Dawson was the OC.

Instate star signs with the Cats. Congrats, Dontaie!

Quickies

Seniors’ most memorable moments | Cats Pause- This is an extensive list of the accomplishments of the sixteen seniors. Well worth your time this morning.

Dontaie Allen signs with Kentucky | CoachCal.com- John Calipari has only taken a select few from the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Dontaie Allen has joined that short list. It makes it even more special when the player is a lifelong Kentucky fan like Allen is.

UK vs. MTSU position battles | Cats Illustrated- Kentucky has the edge at every position except for quarterback and wide receiver. Again. MTSU is no cupcake squad.

Week 12 bold predictions | Saturdays Down South- This isn’t all that bold of a prediction considering how anemic the offense has looked in the month of November. But if MTSU is leading at halftime, how high will the heat be on Gran?

Josh Allen ranked at ninth overall pick by Mel Kiper | Cats Pause- The decision to come back for his senior season is going to payoff big time for Josh Allen. Draft guru Mel Kiper has moved Allen into his top 10 after a season’s worth of impressive work.

UK soccer starts tournament run on Sunday | UK Athletics- The #3 ranked Wildcats will take on #21 Portland on Sunday in a bid for a national title. UK has been great all season long, winning both the CUSA regular season title and the tournament title. It’s a 4:00 PM home game so be there if you can.

Les Miles finalizing deal with Kansas | CBS- It’s taken a little longer than some of us may have expected but it looks like The Mad Hatter will finally be back on a sideline. The abysmal Kansas Jayhawks need someone to come and bring some life to their program. Miles is a national title winning coach. That should do it.

Ed Oliver and Major Applewhite release statements | Sporting News- Oliver is the number one ranked player in the NFL Draft for 2019 and Major Applewhite is his coach. The two had an exchange of words after Applewhite told Oliver to take off a coat on the sidelines during their game Thursday night.

Here is the footage and the context:
