UK still in the running for CJ Walker? One recruiting expert thinks so

Walker is set to make his decision. Is Kentucky making a late push?

OST247

CJ Walker is the 28th overall player in the country and according to 247 Sports Composite, and was once thought to be down to just LSU, MIami, and Oregon.

Walker is set to decide next Wednesday with those three schools as his finalists, but an interesting crystal ball prediction was made just this morning by Andrew Slater of 247 Sports, predicting Walker to the Kentucky Wildcats. You can see all the predictions here.

With Walker set to announce in less than a week, perhaps there is something going on behind the scenes that we do not know. Has John Calipari convinced Walker to come to Kentucky and be a part of another star-studded recruiting class?

My guess is that Walker goes elsewhere, as he has yet to even comment on anything Kentucky related and only has three finalists going into his decision.

If he were to commit to Kentucky, it would be a pretty significant surprise, even though Kentucky was rumored to be getting in the mix for him several weeks ago, only for him to later cut the Wildcats from consideration.

But if Walker were to commit to the Wildcats, this would be an impressive feat pulled off by Calipari. He’s ranked as high as No. 24 overall by Rivals as a five-star prospect.

As of now, Walker does not have a confirmed Kentucky offer. Perhaps one could be coming, and that could cause Walker to delay his decision. Whatever the case may be, it looks like this will be a recruitment to watch for Kentucky for at least another week.
