The Kentucky Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals will clash in the Week 13 regular-season finale.
Kentucky is looking to finish strong and enter the postseason with a 9-3 record, one of the best marks in school history. They’ll first need to beat Middle Tennessee this week, then go into Louisville and beat the Cardinals in what would be a second-straight road win for the Wildcats over their in-state rivals.
On Monday, it was announced that the game will kick off at 7 pm EST on ESPN2. It’s a little odd that the game is actually getting a fairly good time slot in primetime on one of the main ESPN channels, as Louisville is currently 2-8 and just fired head coach Bobby Petrino, but the rivalry factor may have made this more attractive.
Regardless, he Wildcats have a great chance to finish the season on high note, though they’ll need to get their offense together if they want to end their current two-game losing streak and win out. if they do this, they should be playing in a quality bowl on New Year’s Day.
Here is a look back at the last time Kentucky beat Louisville during the 2016 season, one of the most memorable wins in program history:
