On the day of Wandale Robinson’s decision, the Kentucky Wildcats are trending for the talented in-state prospect.
Once thought to be a heavy Nebraska Cornhuskers lean, Kentucky is getting a lot of buzz just before Robinson ends his recruitment. 247 Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong has predicted the Wildcats to land Robinson’s services, though he’s one of many experts now picking the boys in blue.
Kentucky began the day trailing Nebraska in crystal ball predictions, but with Robinson deciding shortly, the Wildcats have surged ahead. They are now getting 44% of the picks compared to 26% for Nebraska.
At no point in this recruitment has Kentucky led the crystal ball. The Duke Blue Devils led early, then the Ohio State Buckeyes jumped ahead for a while before Nebraska surged into the lead.
You can see all crystal ball predictions for Wandale Robinson here.
Robinson is the 322nd player in the nation, and the seventh overall player in the state of Kentucky. Robinson finished his regular season at Western Hills with 1,844 rushing yards, 493 receiving yards, and 41 total touchdowns and lead the Wolverines to a 7-3 record.
Robinson also added production on the defensive side of the ball, adding an incredible 105 total tackles and three interceptions. He simply does it all and will be a massive addition for whichever school lands him, and it now appears there’s a very real chance it’s Kentucky.
With the big announcement on deck, we’ll be at Robinson’s announcement and will have a live stream of his announcement. You can watch it here when the ceremony begins, which is set to be at 2:30 pm EST in the Western Hills High School gymnasium.
In the meantime, Robinson released a little teaser video for today’s big decision.
