John Calipari announced on Twitter it’s just an ankle tweak for Keldon Johnson:
By the way, Keldon tweaked his ankle at the end but he should be OK.

For now, it looks like a crisis averted.
The Kentucky Wildcats are holding their breath after watching Keldon Johnson go down with an injury late in their open practice on Monday.
It came late in the session when Johnson was driving to the rim and came down awkwardly. He stayed on the ground in pain for a minute before being helped up and walking gingerly to the locker room.

It’s possible it’s just a cramp, but you can’t know for sure until the team doctors examine him in the locker room. The fact he was able to walk off on his own is encouraging.
It was actually the final play of the open practice. Adding insult to injury, the next thing that came on the screen as the session ended was a replay of the Texas A&M game from Saturday.
The good news is there’s plenty of time between now and Game 1 of the regular season vs. Duke, so hopefully it’s nothing that will keep him out that long. Kentucky cannot afford to lose him for an extended period of time.
We will update this story as more details on the injury come out.
