Kentucky Wildcats junior running back, Benny Snell, has been named one of the 20 semifinalists for the 82nd annual Maxwell Award. This award is presented to the collegiate Player of the Year by the Maxwell Football Club.
The Maxwell Football Club is one of the oldest and most prestigious football clubs in the nation and they have been honoring excellence at all levels of football dating all the way back to 1935.
Snell is among some pretty talented players because some of the other top 20 semifinalists include the likes of: Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama), Kyler Murray (Oklahoma), Will Grier (West Virginia), Gardner Minshew (Washington State), among others.

We will continue to watch this as the season progresses, but if Benny can come out these next few weeks and put up the numbers that he’s shown us in prior weeks and what we know that he’s capable of, I don’t have any doubt that he could and should be in the hunt for this prestigious award at the end of the 2018 college football season.
