Big Blue Madness 2018

No school celebrates ‘Midnight Madness’ quite like the Kentucky Wildcats do with Big Blue Madness, the first open practice opportunity for the 2018-19 UK men’s and women’s basketball teams

The men are projected to have the No. 1 team entering the 2018-19 season in many preseason polls, while the women return much of last season’s roster and are primed to get back to the postseason.

This year’s event, which takes place this year on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m., also includes the blue carpet entrance, which will be featured on the UK Sports Network pre-Big Blue Madness TV special, “Before the Madness.” Here, fans will have the opportunity to see the men’s and women’s basketball teams and VIPs arrive at Rupp Arena on the blue carpet on High Street.

Fans are invited to watch the entrance with bleachers available on one side of the blue carpet. The blue carpet entrance will take place from 5:30-7 p.m., then head to the real show at 7 p.m. inside historic Rupp Arena.
