There were a lot of questions for Hamidou Diallo when he opted to remain in the 2018 NBA Draft and understandably so. Diallo ultimately landed with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and last night, he had a solid showing for the team during a preseason game.

For the night, Diallo finished with 19 points on 8/16 shooting including three 3-pointers, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, a steal and a block in 37 minutes of action.
He showed some defensive ability with this block on Bucks’ first-round pick Donte DiVincenzo.

And his jumper is looking a lot better as well.

Granted, it is one game, but Diallo’s performance is important as the Thunder continue to invest in him as a key part of their future plans. Many of the media members around Oklahoma City think that Diallo may be able to crack the rotation early and provide some key minutes off the bench. ESPN’s Royce Young said he believes Diallo was a steal at the 45th overall pick.
Hamidou Diallo has made quite the impression this preseason. Looking more and more like a second round steal for the Thunder.

Good for Hami, and we hope to see him continue to have success in OKC!
