Former Kentucky Wildcats star James Young is reportedly set to join the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-way contract.
Young has been playing in the G-League for the Milwaukee Bucks affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd. He played in a game on Wednesday for the Herd, helping them get a 128-126 win over the Canton Charge with 15 points.
The two-way contract is great news for James Young. With the two way contract, it is very likely that Young will get another opportunity in the NBA with the 76ers, a young team that is relying on a lot of developing players.
Young has really done well in the G-League and he can provide the 76ers with some shooting from three. Young has shot 37% from three in the G-League on over nine attempts per game.
Having the opportunity to play with great players like Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, this could be a great situation for James Young and the first step in becoming a rotation player in the NBA. Let’s hope it works out for him.
