DeMarcus Cousins’ historic night

Boogie had a game for the ages that put him in the same breath as Wilt Chamberlain.

Last night, DeMarcus Cousins had one of the best performances in NBA history. He put up 44 points, 24 rebounds, and 10 assists in the Pelicans’ double overtime win over the Chicago Bulls.

To put Cousins’ performance in perspective, only three players in the history of the NBA have had more than 40 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists in a game. Wilt Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson are the other players to have accomplished such crazy numbers.

Anthony Davis “chipped in” with 34 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. These two have been fun to watch this season and it will be great to see them start together in the All-Star game. This win pulls the Pelicans to within one win of the 5th seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.
