How to watch Mississippi State Bulldogs (14-5, 2-4 in SEC) at (Kentucky Wildcats (14-5, 4-3 in SEC)

When: 9:00 pm EST on January 23rd

Where: Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY

TV Channel: ESPN

Live Online Stream: You can stream the game online or on a mobile device using WatchESPN.

Replay: UK Basketball Live and WatchESPN

Odds: The Cats opened as an eight-point favorite. KenPom projected them to be an 8.5-point favorite and gives the home team a 78% chance of winning.

Prediction: ESPN’s Power Index is giving Kentucky an 80.6% chance to win. At this point, until I see otherwise, nothing is a gimme game for these Cats. However, Tuesday night they have a lot to prove to their fans and I definitely see them doing that. Their defense (as of late) has been above-average, it’s their half-court offense and shot-making that should improve.

I’m going a 74-58 win for the Cats. I believe they’ll get caught early for looking ahead to Saturday but pull away convincingly in the second half and (most importantly) knock some sense into BBN.

While we wait for the game, check out some highlights of Wenyen Gabriel’s big game against the Bulldogs last season:

Tuesday night at Rupp Arena will be an anxious game for the Kentucky Wildcats.

Losers of two straight, Kentucky will need a home win to take some sort of momentum into Saturday’s game in Morgantown against West Virginia.

Over the last week, Quade Green has clearly been banged up and Jarred Vanderbilt is just now becoming familiar with the offense. Add in the fact that the entire team can’t buy a shot outside 5 feet and Kevin Knox sitting out crunch time Saturday night and it’d be hard to convince me this team had any shot at winning these past few games.

However, as this team heads into the final month of the regular season, it’s time to turn it on. That means extra time getting shots up, practicing inbounds plays, free throws, NOT turning the ball over, etc.

All of these are keys to winning a tough road test with West Virginia and in order to do so, they need to start Tuesday night with Mississippi State.
