It looks like the Kansas State Wildcats may have Dean Wade back for Thursday’s clash with the Kentucky Wildcats.
On Wednesday, Wade was able to participate during the portion of practice open to media. He wasn’t wearing anything protective on the foot he suffered a stress fracture in during the Big 12 Tournament.
However, it should be noted Wade was wearing a protective boot when arriving to the team hotel on Tuesday, and he also wasn’t seen going through every drill during practice:
Last night when Dean Wade arrived in Atlanta he had a walking boot on. Today at practice, no boot. @mickshaffer @41actionnews #KStateMBB pic.twitter.com/J1gsxYakDx

Some good and bad for Dean Wade and video footage.

Good: he is moving around and has improved immensely from Charlotte.
Bad: he isn't doing the same thing as other guys, IE no sharp cuts, he isn't going full speed.
Dean Wade involved in some real team drills. Didn’t do anything like this in Charlotte pic.twitter.com/2Ue9PDWPgn

Wade has been a huge factor for K-State this season. He’s averaging 16.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while shooting 55% from the floor. Having a 6-10 big man like him that can space the floor would be a game-changer against UK, but it’s still up in the air as to how much Wade will play Thursday and how effective he can be.
Not much new on Dean Wade's status. Here's Bruce Weber's comments from just moments ago. #KStateMBB pic.twitter.com/Y1G7SVq0k3
