Just a couple weeks ago, Kentucky was beginning to garner some discussion of being on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament.
But now, the conversation of Kentucky being a threat to make the Final Four is occurring among college basketball analysts.
Rob Dauster of NBC Sports and C.J. Moore of The Athletic and Bleacher Report briefly talked about the possibility on the College Basketball Talk podcast recently.
Dauster said that he thinks Kentucky is a threat to make the Final Four, not exactly title a contender, but he believes they could make a run in March.
Dauster and Moore credited the lineup of Quade Green, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kevin Knox, P.J. Washington, and Jarred Vanderbilt as being the rotation that John Calipari has favored that has sparked a resurgence for the Wildcats.
“They’ve put together a lineup that has more offense and more playmakers,” Moore said.
Dauster and Moore said that they wouldn’t pencil in Kentucky into the Final Four just yet, but the possibility now exists.
You can find the full podcast here. The talk about Kentucky begins at around the 48-minute mark of the podcast.
