The last thing UK needs is an injury to Benny Snell.

Snell eventually returned to the game in the second quarter. He also was in for the first series of the second half. It looks like this is minor enough for Snell to work through, at least for now...

The Kentucky Wildcats are holding their breath after Benny Snell went down with an injury in the first quarter vs. EKU.

Following UK’s first possession, Snell was sent to the locker room to have x-rays done on his ribs. If he misses time, the Cats are left with Sihiem King and A.J. Rose as their top running backs.

Snell had a breakout year last year as a freshman, racking up several post-season awards including being named to the SEC’s All-Freshman Team and ESPN’s True Freshman All-American team. He set the UK freshman rushing record with 1,091 yards and had the second-most rushing touchdowns in school history with 13 (second in the SEC).

We’ll have more on this story as details come out...
