The legacy of Rick Pitino continues to be decimated by the FBI’s investigation into college hoops corruption.
According to CBS’ Dana Jacobson (formerly of ESPN), Pitino was Coach-2 from University-6 in the FBI’s report.
University-6 was the University of Louisville, so of course Coach-2 was someone there, but it’s still a surprise to see it’s actually Pitino and not one of his assistants.

The Wall Street Journal also reports that Pitino is Coach-2:

To recap, in the FBI report, Coach-2 helped set up payments for Brian Bowen’s family, and Coach-2 was asked to call Jim Gatto, the adidas rep under investigation, for the money to do so.
If this is true, it’s safe to say that Pitino is done as a college coach. The question at Kentucky will be if these actions are enough for Pitino’s jersey to come down from Rupp’s Rafters.
Before this report, I was in the ‘no’ company. Now, I’m not sure that jersey should hang in Rupp Arena any longer.
What say you?
Should Rick Pitino’s jersey be taken down in Rupp Arena?
