Alabama is now apart of the major FBI investigation scandal.

The FBI might be saying “We want Bama.”

The Alabama Crimson Tide may be next to have a compliance issue, according to Yahoo’s Pat Forde.

Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne released a statement, which Forde tweeted out on Wednesday.

“Following yesterday’s reports from New York regarding a Federal Investigation of intercollegiate athletics, The University of Alabama Department of Athletics immediately initiated an internal review of our men’s basketball operations,” Byrne said.

“As a result, we have accepted the resignation effective today of Kobie Baker, a men’s basketball administrator. Our review has not identified any NCAA or SEC rules violations nor the involvement of any other coach or staff member.”

Baker was the basketball director of operations and associate athletics director.

This comes after the report earlier today that the FBI was had subpoenaed employees of the Nike EYBL, as well as documents. Alabama is a Nike school, and they’re surely not going to be the last to be pulled into this scandal. They’re the second SEC school to be pulled into this issue, after Auburn’s Chuck Person was arrested in the FBI’s probe.
