Lost in the madness of Kentucky football losing to Florida and now the College Hoops Scandal Heard ‘Round the World, Immanuel Quickley committing to Kentucky was lost in the shuffle.
And while Quickley was just on campus a couple weeks ago, he is already planning a return visit for Big Blue Madness weekend on Oct. 13, according to Chris Fisher at CatsPause.com
As Kentucky’s only commit in the class, we can be hopeful that Quickley will use his visit to talk to other recruits that plan on being in town for BBM weekend, typically one of the biggest recruiting weekends for Kentucky Basketball each year.
Among those who will be in attendance for Big Blue Madness: Bol Bol (whose recruitment may begin to change considering Arizona and USC’s involvement in the aforementioned scandal), Darius Garland, 2019 #1 (or #2) player James Wiseman, and 2021 in-state guard Zion Harmon.
Oh, and it MAY be possible that Zion Williamson could be in town too. Williamson was supposed to be in town last weekend, but had to reschedule due to family issues. He currently does not have any visits planned for that weekend.
What better time than to come and talk to his friend Quickley—the two have openly talked about playing together in college—and convince Bol Bol to form quite a trio in Lexington next year.
“You already know I’m on it,” Quickley said in a live chat on UNINTERRUPTED. “That’s the goal — we’re gonna get Z.”
Undoubtedly, other recruits will take unofficial visits for Big Blue Madness weekend, so the list of visitors will be one to keep an eye on.
